Mr. J.D. Robinson founded Bank of
Lenox in 1906, and soon acquired a reputation for safe, conservative
banking that served the bank, and it's community, well during
the trying financial times of World War I and the Great Depression
of the 1930's. His son Roby H. Robinson, Sr. continued this fine
tradition when he became president upon his father's death in
1941. Roby Robinson contributed greatly to the economic well-being
of south Georgia by making much needed credit available at the
end of World War II and through his civic and charitable activities.
Roby Robinson's sons, R.H. Robinson, Jr and Warren D. Robinson,
have continued the banking tradition as Warren became President
and R.H. Robinson, Jr. became Vice President in 1972 upon the
death of their father.In
2004, Bank of Lenox president Warren Robinson's oldest daughter,
Michelle Hyde, was named as Vice President upon the retirement of
R. H. Robinson, Jr. Also in 2004, president Robinson's other
daughter, Cristie Dasher, was named as Vice President.
President Robinson also has a son, Warren D. Robinson, Jr., that is
presently learning the banking industry. |
